Update 16/06/10:  This lovely little girl is still looking.  This is what Honey's fosterer has to say....

Here is an update on honey, just incase you want to update her profile, . She is no longer  nervous of men, we have worked on it and she is fine with older and younger as well as those midlde aged, She does not seem nervous of any particular build, or if they have grey hair. She will walk on a lead, almost to heel. She does not  worry about  what is coming towards her., except a cat but we are working on it, though she ignored the two cats sitting on the petshop counter the otherday.     She loves playing football.  She will play tug and ball games with another dog quite happy without trying to get the upper hand.

She does  sit, down, stay, stand, back and watch me. We have worked on distance control, leave, stay down  etc. tricks she has learnt are high five, give paw, wave, sit up pretty. Roll over. Heel on lead still needs some work when walks with another dog, as she wants to get infont. .

Update 23/03/10:  Honey is still looking for her forever home, there has only been one enquiry on her and that was not suitable.  It has been mentioned by those that know Honey that her pictures make her look larger than she actually is.  Honey is the size of a beagle so not a big dog.

Hello everyone, my name is Honey and I am a 13 month old, medium sized, crossbreed.  Nobody is quite sure what I am.  My face and ears and quite like a beagle, my colour is like a ridgeback and my chest like a staffie.

Well here is my story;  When I was a young puppy I was bought by a family and I thought I was going to have so much fun there.  Things were great for a few days but then they got bored of me and annoyed when I did things that puppies do.  They did not take me to the vets to have my jabs so I never went out to play and explore the world.  Then I became poorly as I got a very painful skin condition called mange.  They still did not take me to see a doggy doctor and so it got worse and worse.  It got to the point where my whole body was covered in bleeding sores and I lost almost all of my hair.  A nice neighbour of my then owners found out about me and got in touch with Guardian Angels Animal Support.  Thankfully when I was 6 months old I was taken on by them and went strait to the vets to get the treatment I so desperately needed.

Here is a picture of me when I first came into rescue.....

It took many months to get my condition to go away and for me to be well enough to be vaccinated and spayed.  I now have the all clear from the vets and am now feeling on top of the world and and looking for a special home that will love and cherish me for the rest of my life.

I am happy to live as the only dog but could also live with a neutered boyfriend.  I have never been around cats so am looking for a cat free environment.  Sometimes I am afraid of men as they remind me of the past so any male members of the family might have to be patient and understanding.

I now know basic commands like sit, down and wait.  I am housetrained and love going for long walks and indulging in plenty of cuddle time.

I am spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, up to date with my worm and flea treatments and fostered in Whitton, Middlesex

If you would like to offer me a home for life then please email my friends at Guardian Angels Animal Support for a homing questionnaire a.guardian09@yahoo.co.uk

Thank you for reading about me
